Reflexology and Reiki supporting people undergoing treatment for cancer

During my time as a therapist I meet many clients who need help and support in different ways.

I volunteer at The Holistic Cancer Centre, based in Wirral, who support patients who have experienced cancer in one form or other. They may be undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy, or have completed a course of treatment and be at a low point in their journey. They may have had treatment years ago, but still have times when more comfort and support is welcomed. Patients can refer themselves, or are given information about the service from their consultant or centre. All patients have approval from their GP before starting any therapy.

Being able to offer care and support to someone during these times is a very special and priveleged part of my work as a therapist, and to see what a difference this support can make to a person’s wellbeing is very rewarding. Reflexology and reiki are supportive, gentle and balancing.
